Head Stud Question.......
I think that i am lifting a head when i am spraying my car at the track and i'm not sure if i have studs in there. ( I didn't built the engine) Could i replace the bolts for studs without haveing to replace the head gaskets?
I'm somewhat thinking the head gaskets are shot after seeing water come out the exhaust after it sits a day or two; but at the same time i was also told it could just be condensation build up after it sitting because it does not have catilatic converters in the exhaust.
What's yall guys take on it?

i sprayed 200 through mine with stock bolts and after 2 1/2 yrs it lifted a head.you seem to have a hd gskt problem already so if i were you i'd replace head gskts and install studs.GM MLS gaskets are pretty good.

If you think you are lifting a head you should replace the gaskets when you replace the bolts. Cheap insurance. I'd hate to do all that work to swap the bolts and then find out you have a gasket problem.
