Default Cam spec opinions...

A guy on another board i belong to is selling a flowtech custom grind cam that he never installed in his motor. The specs on it are 232/236 .600 .600 112+3 .... right now he is selling it for 300 shipped which is a bitchin deal if you ask me... however, the cam was designed for a forged 402 he was putting in a trailblazer. I am wondering how it will run in my LS1... it seems to be a pretty medium sized cam and i figure it should do ok for me...

The only other major cam contender that I am considering right now is the MTI X1 ....

I plan on pairing either of the cams with the PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads. I have not heard back from flowtech yet about what they think, but ive searched some graphs of similar cams and it seems to be a pretty strong runner.

Buy it man. This is one of the best profiles IMO you can use in stock/modded LS1 motor! You can't go wrong with it. This cam matched with the heads you want to get, 10.90's is obtainable, I know from experience and use a camshafts similar to that alot, it will be a proven winner for you.

its going in a GTO .so i'll be lucky to hit 11.90s with it and some heads lol... but i'll be trapping pretty fast.

you will like that cam. Ed Kurtis over there @Flowtech is a very smart guy, so you can't go wrong. I know already from experience with that cam, it ROCKS!
