I thought the max lift for the 918s was a 0.600" lift....

if so, your starting to get really close to the max (springs won't last as long).....

What duels were you looking at (Comp 987s or the REV duels)? I have the 987s and they require modification of the spring seat.

I run them with .581 lift and no problems. They are rated at .615 lift.

I was planning on going with the REV's which require no head work. Any more opinions guys, it's getting close to install time. I have some new 918's I ordered a while ago when I thought I was going with a .563 lift cam but now I don't know whether to sell them and get the REV's or what.

As long as your 918's have the blue stripe, you are good to go. I used them with my stock heads and F1 cam, and beat the hell out of them with no probs.

I know of a guy using them with a 230XE-R/226Xe with .591 on the intake side and he plans to use then for at least a good year and a half.

Same here - I used the 918s with my F1 and it held up great. And yes, I was brutal on it.

How about the 918's with 2.02/1.60 valves?
