Default Spring training starts today. Any baseball fans in here?

Pitchers and catchers report to spring training today. I can't wait for the season to start back up.

I noticed the Astros finally removed that dumb "Return of The Good Guys" slogan from their website.

I saw the Astros offered Chacone a contract. That might be a nice pickup. We need all the arms we can get right now.

Ross, do you think there are going to be any issues with Tejada making it on the field?

I can't wait for baseball to start back up again, games are fun to go to and relatively cheap.

Not sure if they have done this in the past but they have a "friday night fireworks" package, all games on friday night and you get one friday night game to either yankees or sox series. Upper Deck is only $101 for 13 games, me and a couple buddies are gonna do this. We always buy the cheap tickets then go to the mexican place in center field and sit there at the bars or sneak down to the empty field box seats

You can say all you want, but I'm a huge BoSox fan. Have been since I was 10. I watch football to make time pass until MLB comes back around. I cheer for the Rangers when they're not playing the Sox, but that's a waste of energy. Everyone can see that the Rangers need good pitching, but the dumbasses don't get it. They can have as many sluggers as they want, but if you don't have good defense on the hill, you're done.

I heard an interview with Berkman a few weeks ago and he seems to think that Tejada will be making it to Spring Training with no issues.

I got in on that ticket lottery they had going on yesterday. I scored 4 tickets to the Astros / Sox Friday night game. Can't wait.

Matt,

I've read that won't affect him this season...if anything happens at all it's probably still a year or so away.

I try hard to stay involved with the Astros but honestly I'm just a bandwagon Astros fan. When they suck I don't care but when they're winning I'll watch a game on TV. I do like to go to the games though. My dad's company has season tickets so I get tickets to a game every other week or so.

I watch almost every game on TV and go to probably 10 games a year at MMP. This season, more so over the last few, has me really intrigued. It will be interesting to see how all of these new pieces fit together. We've got plenty of big sticks, but I still think pitching is going to be an issue this year.

Should be a good time. It's gonna be an interesting season for the Astros from the top down. I'm ready to get this show on the road, but I'm sure I'll be changing my tune by the time August rolls around.

I have become a huge baseball fan over the past few years.

I still can't stand watching football, basketball, or soccer though.
