Default Good deal on a 2002 Trans-Am WS6??

I am looking into purchasing an F-Body 1998-up. Originally I was about to buy a 1998 Firebird Formula Hardtop for $7000. It has no t-top, no leather, 111k. Mods were just cat-back, lid, C5 Vette wheels. I decided to hold off buying that and look around for a better deal for a car with more options that I want. I then came across a 2000 Firebird Formula with t-tops and leather, 101k, but it needs a cat-back as it was taken off since it was rotting out. Recently I came across yet another F-Body, and this one seems to be the best deal of all. The car is a 2002 Trans-Am with the WS6 Package, t-tops, leather, ram air, all 100% stock. It is a 1 owner car that is currently at a dealership. It does have high miles for an 02, it clocks in at 126,000 miles on it. Like I said however, it is a 1 owner car, and looks VERY well taken care of and not beat on, as it is 100% stock. All the car I am looking for are 6 speed aswell. The price is $9800. Please let me know if this is a good deal, it seems to me that it is, but I'd rather double check with some veteren F-Body enthusists. Thanks alot in advance, I would really appreciate it. I may be going to the dealer on Monday to take a look at the car, and if all goes well, buy it.

check the VIN for a carfax report. see if there's something not mentioned. get under the car and look at the frame & suspension. drive the hell out of it when you test drive. make sure the gears shift good and if you've never driven a LS1 then if the motor is up to par you'll feel high end torque (take it up to 6000 rpms). make sure it steers sharp and easy. oh, and let it run awhile and check for leaks. verify temperature & oil gauges. see if the a/c AND heater properly work. the pop up headlights & slow window motors are also common f-body problems. if everything checks out good to your knowledge, I think it's a really good deal.

it could be a good deal, but with that many miles you'll really need to go thru the car... see what's been replaced.

I would offer $8500. Let them come back with a counter. They would rather sell it for what they gave on trade than wholesale it out and take a chance on it bringing less at auction.....

If the car checks out that's a pretty awesome deal. With that many miles I'd say it was a commute care and saw a lot of highway miles.
