Default Turbo and Injector size

I have a 5.3L, I want 550-650 hp what size turbo(single setup) do you guys think and can the stock 28lb injectors be enough?

No. Get 60lb injectors.

What about 42lb would that be enough?

get 60# injectors, or go carbed, simple as that

Turbo, for that power 70mm would be fine

My 42's in my 4.8 are maxed out at 12lbs boost and making 505rwhp

500 is about as far as u wanna push 42's. Mine were nearly at 100% duty cycle at the 531 i made when i still had 42's. You dont wanan be near 100% as that is insuring that they will fail over time. Get 60's. Its not much more and its WELL worth it.

John, what size turbo are you running? Is there a good place to find compressor maps on the web for popular turbos? I want to build boost low and spin up to 6000-7000rpm.

60's for sure. 28's might be fine for a heads cam/wet shot to hit 550rwhp, but not in a boosted app.

If you dont get the 60's you will wish you did, and your not gonna sacrafice any driveability with them.
