Western Members - the new evo is out

Has anyone ran into the new evo yet. I did in the 91 but he didnt want to run. Do u think we can still take them in a roll race, I read in a magazine that they do 1/4 mile in 12.5.

Thats always going to be with a "perfect" driver in "perfect" conditions. I think we could take them. I've taken an Evo 8 before...

Ive taken those too but these are rated to do 12.5's stock, they put in different pulley on the turbo and were done. Its time to put in the bottle:mad:

Yeah but like I said, 12.5 is with a perfect driver under perfect conditions. Put your "average", and I say that lightly, average person in that car, and I bet you won't see a 12.5 stock, IMO though, IMO...lol :D

i could always run em down from a dig, but there arent any that are heavliy modified around here :jest:

i beat a sti rolling! but once these cars are modded they become really fast!

running a evo from a dig is worse. awd great launch, slow from roll. the new evo's car and driver has only gotten it to go 13.8 at 99mph. the new sti at 13.4 at 101mph

Road and Track got 13.6 @100.9 and like allblacksrt4 said, C&D has them at 13.4. I think you're off by a second Luis. You must be looking at their 0-100 time.

i even hear the new ones are slower then the older ones!! so if we already beat the evo 8 and 9 then forget about the competition with the evo 10

your right i have heard lots about this with the stis also

taking my lil girl to school the other morning i ran into an evo10...it turned into the mistubishi HQ building on katella...i threw him a rev but my mighty max just didnt impress him

time for the LS1 guys to serve 'em up a nice dish of broken clutch!lol

Car and Driver did a road course and Drag comparo and the 9 beat the X in every race. In the drag race it was slower by .3 secs

I was reading car and driver today,and it said the new sti's outperformed the new evo's

I'm debating about trading my 02 Z for an Sti :(
A buddy took his Evo to Famoso and bone stock (boost controller) hit 12.7 @ 106

I'm curious to see one. I finally saw the new STi in person the other day, black one next to me in traffic. Not feeling the hatch look.

Almost... the 0-100 in 12.5 was with the 13.4 1/4 (which was at 103).

EVO 8 RS's and MR's are high 12 second cars, not bad from a dig but I refuse to even race them from a roll, there slowwww.....stock...but modded is a different story of course.

Don't get too cocky. I've ran into one local one that would have you suckin on his. Very respectable cars when modded. Pretty easy win in stock trim though :)

the new EVO sucks if you ask me, I used to like the evo for what it is, a light curve hugging 4 pot, they had to ruin it.

and yeah, when moded they are a defrent animal, some of the local boys here are doing some nice stuff with them lil buggers.
