anyone know what part number this is?

also i have a 98 with a 3 wire harness, but 243 castings. the stock ls1 sensor did not fit. is there a special sensor i need to get ?

and i searched in the part# stickies.

I have a 98 and it fit my 243's fine. Are you sure your using the right hole?

argh. napa ordered me the wrong part. i looked today online and theres 2 part number listings for the ect. one is for a 2pin connector and the other is for a 3pin i called up a store today and they said it was a new listed part. argh.

yeah napa has it listed for a 99 and 02 but my 00 took the 2 pin plug, smaller threads and a longer probe. It is the same as the 2.2 ecotecs or saturn 2.2 just tell them that, i think its 6338 but i can be wrong> Just tell them you want one for a 2.2 03 alero or 01saturn or 03 cavalier.

so pretty much any 3 pin coolant temp sensor for a gm car?

Hey man, I have a 98, three pin and all. I took it out of my stock heads and put it in the 243's, no bull-****. Seriously, you should make sure your putting it in the right hole, as dumb as it sounds I have seen worse.

Sorry I though you wanted the 2 pin, in that case Im not positive but most likely any GM 3 pin one will be the same....Napa had the 3 pin listed thats the one they kept trying to give me but mine takes the 2 pin. Have them pull a picture up on their computer and when you see the one you want tell them go find it.
