Default Help Fans arent turning on..

I tried to ground the blue/green wire on the PCM right on the passenger side, and the fans still dont turn on, fuse 10 on the fuse box doesnt have power it says "COOL FAN"

I don't have my mitchell program.... left it at work, any ideas? Thanks all!]

How do i test if the fans are bad? Car is overheating if im not moving.... and they arent on when the car is off... thanks

ok its 99% your relay!! check fans 1 and 2 relays! or u may have a break in the wire, or the fan motors! but its most likely the relays

Found out the 40 amp fuse was blown, only checked one side and saw 12 volts didnt check other, and the little 10 amper got voltage now, was driving around everything worked fine then all of a sudden the 40 amp fuse blew again, should i just replace the relays? Their an autozone part right? Is there anyway to check the relays w/ a meter?

the 40 amp fuse cool fan keeps blowing, I replaced the relays, things seem to be good for a while then the fuse blows and car starts to overheat if im not moving,

There is no visible shorts on the green and blue wire by the passenger side fender, nor by the fuse block, I replaced the relays already... the ones I replaced the original ones with are very similar to the foglight relays in that they are not as big as the fan relay, does that matter? Could that be the problem? Code my SES is throwing is P0480 and P0481
Those codes:
P0480: Fan Relay 1 malfunction
P0481: Fan Relay 2 malfunction

THanks!

What else can I try?

have u tried grounding the green or blue wire on the passenger side to the frame?? if it still does not work! then its something to do with the relay maybe?? or it could also be a short! trace the wires down carefully!!

i find most shorts occur at the back of the box, check there thoroughly first, then move to checking the wires for resistance, too much resistance means short to power or ground, easier done then explained i hope you have an idea of what im talking about, if not ill see if i can get some time and you can cruise up and ill get it done for ya

Ok here is what I found out

ok im not 100% positive but,

When I ground the blue wire by the passenger side fender the 40 amp fuse blows, fan doesn't spin.

I replace the fuse (again)
Then
When I ground the dark green wire, the driver side fan spins real fast.

DO I have ashort or is the passenger side fan dead causing 40 amp fuse to blow? How do I change it? Looks like a pain in the ***....

I don't have myt wiring diagrams, is there a way to take out fuse box in order to look at all wires ont he bottom? Which wire is the power wire to the passenger side fan?

Sounds Like The Fan Motors Are Out. When Fans Start Going Out They Draw Lots Of Amps Causing Relays, Fuses, And Resitors To Blow...just An Idea

thats what I thought, are the passenger/driver side fans seperate? Like can I takeout just the passenger side one? THat is the one causing the short, anyone got instructions? Thanks

Once out of the car ill test it to the batter directly see if it spins

you have to have an amp clamp, that you hang over those wires and ground your black lead, then make the fans spin manually, it will give you an amperage reading, problem is i dont know where to find the specs for this measurement from gm

How to I take the frans out? Ill just plug them into power and see if the spin, im almost positive the passenger side fan is either out or spinning slow... is the motor easily replaced? thanks guys

I see the motor at kragen for 50 bucks, or whole fan assembly for 100 at autozone
