Default Will an LS6 PCM work...??

I started thinking about this over the weekend...I have an 01 LS1 in my gf's 99 T/A w/ an LS6 cam, longtubes, etc. it has no tuning, and makes good power, but runs pretty rich...which isnt really a concern, because it helps to fight pinging in the 110 deg. weather here, but would a PCM for an 02-up LS6 work to possibly gain an extra few hp, and possibly correct the rich condition?

TIA

Considering the LS6 PCMs have a less agressive timing setup than the 99 computer, I think you would lose HP.

+ the the small detail that the Y-bod & F-bod PCM's are not interchangable.
Get the car dyno tuned, you'll be happy you did.
