Hello, I'm going to have my rim's widened out i decided and am trying to decide between 2 tires. Car is a street car and the same wheel/tire combo will be driven to the strip and raced on. Basically its a battle of tread width vs sidewall height.

305/35/18 vs 315/30/18

Obviously the 315 is a tad wider, but the 305/35 comes in at about 26.5" and the the 315/30 at about 25.5".

So basically its the little bit of extra tread width vs the .5" sidewall height difference. Which would you go with? Which do you think would hook better?

id go with the 305/35. it will help load the turbos and give u a bit more sideall for better traction.
