I think your car is awesome!! I'm in the process of doing the same build. I don't think I will run 8's but, I will be happy with 9's. Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming.

I am in the process of building a reverse cooling system for the motor right at this time!!!! I am using a Jegs sbc pump and modifying it to work . I also built plates to cover the water pump holes so I could at an fittings to the front of the block!!!! I think it will be pretty neat when it is done!!!! What headers are you going to use? After I get done with the cooling system, I have to start on the headers>

I used the Hawks Third Gen headers. They are 1.75" tubes and I opted for the 3" collector. I think for a 346 with just a plate that should be big enough. We'll see soon. By the way, where did you get that motor plate and mid plate?

I am in the process of putting a 6.0 lq9 into a 64 chevyII with a Carb. I bought the victor Jr intake and Msd 6010 setup, I just ordered a blow proof ultra bell for the th 350 since mine was cracked and the trans was still good.

my car weights 2150 or so with out driver( it was 2300 with big block with Iron heads) and Looking for low 10's on motor with an f14 cam with stock heads. I am going to get custom headers since I cant find a set already built so to get it started for now I will be putting on a set of Manifolds off the CTS-V caddy. They are a shorty header design so I should be ok untill I get headers built. If I run low 10's with them, they may stay

Good luck with your build, I hope it runs what you expect.

What do you have for rear suspension? Are you using a torque arm or something different?

Great build! I would suggest upgrading the air filter.

I have finally put the engine in for the last time. Put all the bolts in the bellhousing, which are extremely close to the floor/tunnel, painted everything all up and still working on the cooling system. With the 1/4 front plate it causes all kinds of problems as far as the belt lining up on the WP. I had a sbc meziere pump that I modified and installed 8an fittings to go to the top holes on the motor and 10an fittings to go to the bottom holes. The hoses are not very long as I have mounted the pump under the radiator. I made adapter plates out of 1/4 aluminum plate to go in place of the water pump. This will also be a reverse cooling system. I am anxious to get this part done and start working on the headers. I will post pictures soon.!!!
