Default odometer problem

I decided to change my odometer to blue and now it will not light up the numbers. I tried moving the grey strip around to align it and can get some numbers to light up when i push firm on the face but that is it. is there anything else I need to check for alignment or what? thanks

Check the polarity of the leds, and make sure the solder has good contact.
