This seems to pop up every few months on here. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like there is any chance of this happening. From what I remember Consumer Reports owns the property and has a test facility there.

State of Connecticut owns it, the State Police use it for high pursuit training. They had just repaved it like 5 years ago or something like that. But yes the poll seems to indeed pop up every few months doesnt it LOL

It takes money, not signatures, to open a track. The new track (road course) in Palmer MA will be opening next season or the season after. Everything has gone through with the town and the land owners. There wasn't a single petition or signature, just a ton of money and a few meetings.

No, Consumer Reports owns the track. The State Police DO use it for their training classes, but it is owned and used by Consumer Reports.

Yes, the petition on-line isn't going to do anything. I think that petition has been around for years - maybe 7 or 8 years? I remember signing it back in 2001 or 2002.

Awesome a road course in Palmer MA. I have never done any road course racing but it looks fun. They have days sometimes when streetcars can go out and play for fun at most tracks dont they?

You have to go with one of the racing clubs that rent out the track. There are a few very good local clubs. The Corvette Owners of Mass (COM) is my favorite to run with. They have great instructors and its a very fun and competitive atmosphere.

BMW Club
Corvette Owners of Mass.
Sports Car Driving Association
National Auto Sport Associaton
Porsche Club
Conn. Autocross and Rally Team
New England Region SCCA
