Depends on what level of boost you plan on running. The D1SC is capable of levels of boost that are most likely to high for the polymer 90 mm intakes, but some people run them at lower levels of boost with no problems. If you're heading to those higher levels of boost, you will want to have adequate engine components as well. I have a D1SC at low compression 8.78:1 on a 402. It's tuned to 13.5 psi and has seen as high as 15 psi in the cold, my FAST intake is adequate for this. I'd watch running a FAST 90 mm T/B though, they have issues with operating correctly with higher levels of boost. Invest in a better 90 mm T/B such as a Nick Williams, etc.
A lot of guys go with the D1SC and run it at low levels of boost, until they save up for the forged internals, etc. down the road. There is plenty of info on here for you to take from. Good luck.

run your ls6 intake and spend the money that you would have spent on the fast 90/90 elsewhere.

I am an running an LS6 intake and making 500rwhp. That 90/90 is pretty expensive.
