Default Anyone widen their 10 spokes?

I love my chrome 10 spokes, however I'm considering widening the rears to 11". A drag radial on a 11" rim will hopefully be a big help from a traction standpoint.

Has anyone had any experience with this and how was the end result? I searched for threads on this and was able to get a good idea of what it would cost for the job, however I just want to make sure those who went this route didn't encounter any problems. Thanks!

Default How

You can get it done for like $150, forgot what the shop was called, but it is in Cali. You can custom order them from House of Wheels I think in almost any size as well, don;t know how much though.

You would need spacers also to push the wheel outwards.

Somebody had pictures on here not too long ago where they basically cut the wheels in half and welded a piece between the two halfs effectively increasing the overall width of the rim.

I had mine widened by Wheels America in FL. I've had mine done for over five years now with no problems at all, Except for braking things like axles and gears but that's all fixed now. 450.00 to have my rear 17"+9" to 17"+11" and had to remove the bump stop and use 3/8" spacers and ARP studs and had to do a little work around the coil spring area.
