Default Newbie Question?

I posted over in the Nitrous section & got no answers, but someone told me to come here, anyways, i have a few questions, this will be my first 97 Z28, i've owned a 94, i'm alittle confused on what engine ie actually has, i've seen that maybe 97 was a crossover year for engines, do i have an LS1 or the LT1, i haven't gotten the car yet, its a 6sp., has 157,XXX miles, well kept & maintained, my main Question was about installing a 125 powershot system i have for a carburated engine, what all will i need for the install, i'll just throw in these other questions too not to start other post, any info would be grately appriated

1st. Am i playing with fire running nitrous with this many miles or should i just do perf. up-grades?
what engine do i have?
what can i do to it other then nitrous to have it run low-mid 13s?

thanks in advance.

It has an LT1. LS1's came in Camaro's 98-02. With just bolt-ons (Intake, exhaust, etc.) you can run mid-low 13's...without N20. But you shouldn't have a problem running nitrous on it with that many miles, if its been well kept as you say.

With those mods listed I would say high 13's...
