Default Whistling/whining noise from gear box...

So I've noticed that there seems to be a whining type noise coming from the gear box area. Kind of sounds like air is being sucked through it...Also it is almost in synch with the gas pedal, ie. the more i accelerate the louder it gets. Any ideas on what this could be??

Have you done a trans fluid change recently? I had the same problem, and it ended up my trans fluid was low due to a leak I found. Anyway, changed the fluid and it solved my problem.

I just bought it, I don't know when the last time it was changed but I will try that. Thanks!
