Default Are sparkplugs the ultimate indicator if your car is going lean/rich??

Just as stated would the sparkplugs be my final indicator if I'm lean or rich. I'm only asking because I've checked fuel pressure at the rails and it seems like I'm going lean at WOT. But, I recently changed my spark plugs and noticed them to be black as if I was extreamly rich. At idle my car puts out a lot of fumes another reason why I believe I'm rich. And finally my innovate AFR gauge also shows me going rich at WOT 10.2 or so at about 8.5 psi of boost. Does anyone have any pics of sparkplugs that I can compare mine with that show them to be rich and another set of pics showing them lean?? any help is greatly appreciated as always.

Andy

One other thing, at WOT, I tend to smoke quite a bit.
