Default smoke on start, rough idle, ticking. help please.

ok guys,

Since i have had my heads and cam and fuel system installed ive noticed that the car will have a rough idle on start and smoke a whitish color smoke. As soon as the RPMs get stable, and its warm (3-4 mins), the smoke goes away. Also there is something coming out of the exhaust.Looks like oil maybe. Once its warm that stops too. Another thing is the ticking. When idleing or driving i can hear a ticking sound. could it be from the cam? or do i have bigger problems? It runs perfectly normal, and pulls hard after its warm. Mods are as follows:

-stock block
-PRC Stg 2 LS6 heads
-TR230 cam
-LTs
-Catted Y-pipe
-Fuel pump and 42 LB injectors
-ported LS6 oil pump
-OEM gaskets
-Comp 918 springs
-7.4 TR pushrods
-tune using hptuners

Any help would be appreciated guys, I would like to solve this ASAP

probably your tune,
smoke would not go away if it was oil burning.
cold start can be a hassle when tuning and if not done right
you could be really rich/lean in open loop/cold start.

yea but would the oil/fuel be coming out of the exhaust on startup?? maybe fuel due to being very rich?

The ticking is probably loose rocker or not the correct length pushrods. The "stuff" you see shooting out from your exhaust is probably condensation (looks black because its mixed with "soot"), which means you're runnin a bit rich. Where is the white smoke originating from?

Same exact thing here, I have a larger cam/built bottom end. I was just thinking condensation/rich soot and the white smoke being a little oil. (I have a nitrous gapped motor so I figured it used a tad bit until it warmed up)

???Maybe it's a hawk thing???

Did you ever pull the valve-cover? I'm assuming you have milled heads and run a stock length pushrod?
