Manual Rack and Pinion Sorry if im in the wrong area asking this question, but is there anyone that makes a manual rack and pinion for the camero, firebird or T/A. Deleting the power steering and picking up a little horsepower.

I'm curious....
How much power can one possibly regain from dumping power steering? On the average trip down the 1320 the steering wheel doesn't move all that much. I wouldn't think there would be very much load at all.

what all is involved in changing over to the manual unit.
what goes in place of the pump itself.
would this unit be streetable as far as everyday driving.
