Need Advice on a muffler to buy and set up..

Need Advice on a muffler to buy and set up.. Well posted this up in external engine No results so im puttign it here...
so im thinking of going with hooker muffler since they sound nice not too loud and crussing speed and there really cheap.
witch muffler do you guys prefer?
Im thinking of going with maximum flow one but not sure wat specs...
I bought my car with no i-pipe or muffler,,,had to borrow a friends to do smog but he wont sell me anythin..
wondering if its really worth the money for a bigger I-pipe or should i just buy a used stock one since its cheaper...
Think my setup will just be stock I-pipe, a Hooker muffler, and no tips.....
feel free tho throw on any other types of mufflers or setups
