No crossover pipe
Well, this is a ****** disaster because I need my car to sell, and I have had 0 interest from anyone despite such a cheap price. I really want an LS1, but if this car doesn't sell, that just isn't gonna happen. Anyways, on to my question.
I don't have emissions anymore because my car is a 94. I was thinking about getting pacesetter coated long tubes and then running a straight pipe off of each one that ends with a powerstick 12 inch muffler dumping at the rear axle. I mainly want to do this for ground clearance because there are an asston of speedbumps I have to go over everyday. I know with an X or H pipe i'd be losing ground clearance. Will this really kill my low end due to lack of scavenging? My car currently has shorty headers, single highflow cat, and open cutout, would this setup be a lot louder (i am shooting for louder here)? I know Taubr is running a setup similar to what I am looking for. Any clue as to how it performs or hp numbers?

If this is your daily driver and the mods are just bolt-ons according to what i see in your sig, yes it will feel like you lost alot at the bottom. You need some type of scavenging whether a y,h, or an x piping. If installed and fabricated properly an x pipe dual system sounds awesome. I use to run a 3" xpipe w/ Dynomax bullets dumped befor the axle w/ good ground clearance. Now I just run a similar set up like TaubrUnit, in the quest for mor weight reductions. Check out video below and hear.

Thought this thread was about the coolant vent tubes at first... haha.. I dont know about your power loss question. Umm,.. I have a 3" X setup and yes, ground clearance is an issue but, the header collectors are just as low as the X if not a hair lower.

was like 04 or 05 when I did the exhaust. cost about $800 total. $400 for the pacesetter ceramic coated headers. And $400 for the TSP X rumbler setup. The X pipe thing is intended to go on a LS1 car but, ditch one small piece that it comes with and have an exhaust shop make you a stright piece and it fits up fine. I've posted about'em in other theads, and put up more pictures... plus there's alot more info about doing duals on here.. try searching "true duals" and you should find it. Here's two clips though...
