What will the new Camaros do to the value of ours?
Do you guys think the new Camaros coming out will affect the value of ours? I can see reasons for both ways, but what do you all think?

Hell yeah they will drop like flies. Look what happend to the C5's when the C6's came out they became dirt cheap. Before I bought my T/A I was looking at Vettes and they were cheaper than T/A's but the insurence was still higher so I went with the T/A.

Not true. Camaros have a better resale value over Firebirds. Look at 67-69 Camaros Vs Firebirds, which have a better resale value in the same condition?

Sorry to inform you but they are coming out with a new Firebird. Better sale yours now.j/k

The most desirable models for Camaros were the first gen. ones. From there Firebirds have been more valuables than their Camaro counterpart.

is this going to turn into another camaro vs t/a thread?
i think the value of camaros will drop. by how much will depend on the price and engines available on the new camaro. what if the z28 camaro has the LS8 and costs $40k? will the price of a 2002 LS1 z28 drop? i dont think so, theres a huge gap between the average value of an 02 z28 (12-15k) and a $40k car.
now if the z28 bottoms out around $26k, then yes the camaro value will go to ****, but i dont see that happening.
point is, a 4th gen camaro will still be the only obtainable car to lots of people, and they will be willing to pay for a good condition car.

Yea i think that our value is going to drop like a rock. Im sure you all have seen a steady decrease in thier value in the last year. I think they will steady down till the new ones come out, then over the period of the years following, will fall to nothing. Hell, I bet the LS1 in the car will be worth more than the car itself eventually! But I am hoping they will go back up in about 5 years. So if you are thinking about selling, then now is the time to do it, or just wait untill people want them again.
