opinion: our sides look dated. what do you think?
hey just my opinion but, one of the things that i love about the 98-02 fbods is that it still looks like a modern 2005 car. especially the firebirds, formulas, t/a etc. however i think the sides look dated. thats when i can see its mid 90's style. i think the front and back look up to date but the sides no. what do you guys think. i always wondered if somebody else thought this as well. thanks

When I tell people that my car is a 2000 some drop their jaws in disbeliief and think that I am kidding. Its funny that some people dont even know what kind of car in is even though it says it on the side.

They turn heads and compete in both looks and appearance with present day comparables i.e. Mustangs. Though I am getting pretty disgusted with the increasing number of ricified F-Bods I am seeing. Chrome fender lips, stick-on diamond-shaped fender vents, windshield banners in foreign languages, what is next, curb feelers?

If I had the choice, id say just a tiny fender flare for the front and rears... make the car sit a little wider... Ive always thought the car had too round a profile (Camaros that is). And the other thing is the full length bodyline. Really dont like it, but theres no way to remove it tastefully. Plus the fact its not so much a body line, as a body gap... like theres a HUGE indent the length of the body, sometimes I wonder if my bumper is loose, only to realize its just the huge line, haha. Also a vent similar to the Trans Am/Vette would be a welcomed addition. The sides are plain, and have little discernible features pretty much from bumper to bumper. Ive looked at adding a vent, but the Camaro is really swoopy in the area just behind the front tire, so a flat vent isnt gonna mount well. Probably gonna have to be a fairly involved custom job to get some on there. Otherwise Im pretty content with the car.
