Are these lifters the same. I know one is a lifter kit with hardware and one is just a lifter kit minus hardware. I called jegs also and the 12371042 fits blocks equipped with hyd. roller lifters from 86-02 and the 12499225 fits engines using hyd. roller lifter blocks from 97-06. Are they the same lifter?? I just need lifters and not a kit. It looks like the 12499225 is for LS based engines. Are they interchangable. I did a search and found some confliction info. Someone with some experience with this let me know.
-Thanks

I took a gander at Thunder Racing. It lists in the description that lifters are the same for the SBC and LSX blocks. I guess this question is solved but, if anyone has anything to add about this please post. I read some stuff about the cup of the lifter being a different length thus affecting the length of the push rod making it longer. ?????.
Thanks
Thanks

Just get the ls7 lifters. They are about $108 through http://www.sdparts.com
Edit. The part numbers you have are Ls7 lifters. Get them through this site for much cheaper.

I too have heard conflicting info, but I am planning on running the lifters and using a pushrod length checker to ensure my valvetrain geometry stays correct. I have not yet received them so I cannot tell you for sure, but I am planning on them being different so as not to be disappointed if they are

Well, I ordered them so I could finish up assembling the motor this weekend. When I spoke with w/AI he mentioned using them as an alternative. I will measure as well and I will post some results.
