I run Castrol 5/50 syntec in my supercharged 4.8 work truck, but I only have 246000 miles, so I don't know how well it holds up to really high mileage.

what do you think about rotella t in my rear mount? would that be to thick to travel back there?

can somone explain to me what thickness of oil i should pick? why i should pick different ones for the climate? i live in jersey. the car only comes out when its nice, otherwise it stays garaged.

We all have our personal favorites, but the truth is if you use modern multi weight oils designed for gasoline motors, the only way to really go wrong is Quaker State. You would be hard pressed to find anyone here (the FI forum) who has had an oil related engine failure. Most have some sort of "ran the motor too damn hard" failure long before the oil is an issue.

im leaning towards the rotella t. what do you recomend? regular 15w40 or synthetic 5w40? the new motor has about 10k miles on it. im just more worried about the oil getting to the turbo fast anough

never use synthetic blend or synthetic during break in. just normal thicker weight oil for break in
