Default 355

ok so im thinking about a 355 build on a budget. if i got the heads mildly ported and cleaned up and put in the crane227 cam would it put down pretty decent numbers and good 1/4 mile times. i have longtubes, ory, and spintech, cai already. i might go ahead and get a 58 mm tb.

What do you consider good numbers, what is the rest of your setup i.e. stall(if A4), gears?

Put your money somewhere else a 58 is not needed especially with the setup you are after!

U can maybe expect 340-360rwhp depends a4 or m6, and to run mid to low 12s between 112-116mph

definetly need to know if auto or stick and what gearing and stall you have, thats a major player. Also like stated above I wouldnt waste the money for a 58mm TB, stock one is said to be good up to 450hp. With a proper setup and good traction I would say low 12's are attainable.

like they said above, don't waste money on the 58mm TB, put it in to head porting and
you will be MUCH happier.

go with a 3200-3600 stall, and if you drive the car all the time go with 373s.

I had that cam and it was great on the street. i had issues with my car's tranny and knock but it still felt great. i'd say without a stall and stock gears high 12s for you. don't buy that 58mm tb instead use that money for a tune or to purchase datamaster and tuner cat so you can do ityourself.

go to the tunercat and ttspowersystems websites. tunercat is like 75 bux in total and is what you use to tune and get rid of trouble ses lights. datamaster is what you use to log your car and is available from tts. you get 20 tries for free if you want more its 100. you'll find its some of the best money you ever spent for your car.

unless something has changed in the last like 6 months, dont believe tunercat is availible for 96 & 97's. They sold the tuner to JET who now sells it as JET DST. JET DST and LT1edit are your options for tuning.

Tunercat is availible then, yes! for some reason I thought you had said you had a 96, probablly from another thread I was reading.

and I think he was referring to the datamaster logging on getting 20 logs for free.

No, Datamaster is the logging software, and you get 20 tries for free. After that you have to pay for it (like 100).

The tunercat program is like $90, you do not get any tries for free with it, although you can download a demo with an example definition file.
