Exclamation Built 10 bolt?!?!?!

a guy called me last night and knew i was in the market for a new rearend he said he doesnt have a 12 bolt or 9" but what he does have is a built 10 bolt which has a upgraded posi unit (forgot which one) moser axles and all the good stuff. only $500.00 bucks

my car is cam only + nitrous right now and will see heads later. im plan to quit using drag radials and going to slicks to. i dont think this rear is for me what do you guys think?

if you were jsut looking to replace a broken 10 bolt in your DD, then it wouldn't be a bad deal, depending on if its used... but it will not be anywhere near the strength of a 12 bolt or 9 inch...

I wouldn't buy it. You'll never get your money back out of it, plus that's $500 you could put towards a 12bolt or 9".

Its not worth patching up a 10bolt or getting a so called built 10bolt especially for m6 cars! Soon as i broke mine at the track i gave dls a call and ordered my 9in.

There is no such thing as a 10 bolt "built" enough to handle the horsepower these cars make.

if all you do is drag race, then no. but if you actually want to turn, then a built 10 bolt is fine for autox or road racing.

if its a 8.5(big 10) then yeah go for it but if its a 7.5 then dont waste your time.
