Default best d/d cam selection

i'm looking for the ultimate d/d cam that has good street manners, that makes great power across the entire rpm and that has a slight lope. i looked at vengeance racing and the say to have the "ultimate" street cam 220/220 .581/.581 114lsa, would that make real good power? especially with heads like patriot ls6, afr 205, tea 1.5? any other cam that would be better? like to no if people have experience with this cam or what kind of #'s people made with there cam.

I use a 233/233 cam but a lot of people like the 224 cam.

The Vengeance cams have been know to put down serious numbers; not to mention, their dyno typically tends to give conservative numbers (they're not throwing out "dyno queen" sheets). I imagine that cam would accomplish precisely what you're looking for.

The 224/224 is also a tried and true setup that will serve you well.

I had my cam installed just over a month ago and I will offer you this warning....Do NOT go too small! I wanted daily driver reliability and street manners from my cam and I decided to "push the envelope" a bit in my mind with my cam selection (Trick Flow 228/230 listed below). My cam is great on the street and makes a TON of mid-range power, so it essentially accomplished precisely what I was looking for. Now that I've gotten used to the new found power, I do question whether or not I should've just slapped a Magic Stick 4 in there and prayed for a great tune to make it streetable!

If u go with tfs 215 or afr 205s, I vote for 228/228. I love it for daily driving. No track numbers yet, but I've killed my share of pullied, cai, and exhaust cobras.

You should take a look at our 225/229 .580"/.590" 114 lsa cam. It is a great choice for a daily driver. It has great street manners with plenty of get up and go. Give us a call or drop us an email and we can price you out a complete package with our Patriot Gold spring kit, pushrods, etc. We can even give you an excellent price on a head and cam package.
