Do my longtubes have to be loosened to remove trans for clutch swap?

Default Do my longtubes have to be loosened to remove trans for clutch swap?

As the title says.....just curious as I am having a new clutch installed next week.

I just replaced my trans and we didn't have to touch any exhaust components. If you have a 3" y-pipe then it will make removal a little more annoying but the longtubes won't be in the way anymore than the stock exhaust would be.

I agree...The only thing i had to remove was the Y pipe as far as the exhaust goes. Here is a write up to help you out http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htm

Yeah, the x portion is all that I had to take off on mine. The headers are actually where I would slide the extensions I use when I got the top bolts out of the bellhousing.
