Default Comp Lifters

Have my motor apart waiting for some TSP heads. I put in some Comp lifters (stock replacement) I purchased a few years ago. They are still brand new, but I was wondering if these are suited for an MS3 & 2.5 5.3 setup. After some searching it looks like the LS7/caddy (I'm assuming this is CTSV) lifters are the way to go? Any help is appreciated, would hate to tear into this thing again for something stupid!

The CTS-V does not use LS7 lifters.

The 09 CTS-V might!

Right, I meant LS7 or caddy. From what I have found on this website, the comps seem to have mixed reviews. Anyone have any personal experience with these?

Comp Rs have been reported to come apart, and LS7s have had a few ticking reports. I ran Comps in my motor for 2 years with no issues, but I ran Pro Mag rockers that kept them tight. And I have LS7s in my truck & it rattles with 40+ psi. If you have $500 get Morells. That is what is going into my new race motor....

Is there any specific procedure to helping the lifters live on intial startup? I let them soak in oil for awhile before I installed them, but that was a couple years ago, before I put the heads on I poured oil all over them again. I also have HS 1.7 rockers, wondering if that will help with reducing some valvetrain friction.
