Default Help!!!!!

Today i finished installing my sts kit and when i first started it, it ran fine then went and looked at the exhaust outlet on the turbo and it was like foamy liquidy white stuff. Didnt really have a smell or anything. Then took it for a little quick trip and stopped after about a mile and looked at the outlet again and it was blowing out oil like crazy. I mean if i let it run for 10 min all the oil would blow out the turbo. So if anyone can help i would appreciate it.

Thanks guys

Sounds Like You Have Too Much Oil Pressure...may Need To Put In A Restrictor

Maybe drain not working right? make sure the external oil pump is working and getting the oil out of the turbo.(im pretty sure sts cars have these)

couple of things to check.
One, check the polarity of the pump. Make sure you dont have positive and negative reversed and the pump running in reverse.
2. Make sure the pump is running. Did you make sure you tapped into the correct wire at the pcm? Also, dont use the t-tap, soider (sp) it in.
3. If the above items are okay, make sure there isnt a kink in the return line. You should know if there is because of the warning buzzer if its connected right.
Try that and let us know.

Are you talking about the oil pump cutting off while driving? I had a bad connection on the top of my oil pump which caused the pump to shut off and the warning buzzer to come on then a ton of oil out the turbo!

Def. follow trtturbo's check list and let us know what you find!

the weid thing is i didnt here a buzzer or anything is it loud when it goes off?

So without the oil pump running it will cause that much oil to come out the turbo.

The buzzer is pretty loud and has distinct sound so you'll know it if it goes off. Also check the psi. adjustment on top of the oil pump under a little rubber plug about the size of an eraser. remove the grommer and turn the dial clockwise (I think) to set the alarm to go off at a higher pressure. Only turn the **** a small amt. then drive and adjust as needed. You are only adjustiing the buzzer set off point not the oil pump itself!

If the oil pump does fail or stop working the oil can not be forced back to the return line so it spills into the exhaust and compressor sides of the turbo.

There really isnt a "seal". Its like piston rings on the shaft. If oil is not pumped out, it will come out no matter if the turbo is new or old.

If it works now, you need to check a few things.
The 12volt source (positive post by itself). Make sure your connection is good.
Check the ground and make sure its good.
Make sure you tapped into the right wire at the pcm. It is a green with white stripe. There are more than one of them though. With a test light, probe the wire and have someone turn the key on. The test light should come on bright for about 2 seconds and then go off. If its dim at all, its not the right one.
Check the harness and make sure it did not get close to anything hot and melt. If it did and bare wires are making contact with metal or other wires, the pump will quit and/or the fuse will blow. If the fuse blows, there is no power to the harness, so the buzzer will not go off.
Let me know if I can help.

The funny thing about this post is.....
He posted just after 5pm a problem. We gave him suggestions and got it fixed within 4 hours, but now he decided to go another route.

Good luck on what ever you do next.

Chris, c'mon man!!! stick with it. trust me its worth it. and even if you had bought any forced induction its a major overhauling to do for the first time.

if you think going with a heavy head/cam setup your probably going to realize its just as much trouble
