What cam do I go with? TOO MANY CHOICES!!!
Ok I have already got the true duals, LT headers, SS3600 stall, Flowpack, 3.73s, subframe connectors... WITH THE STALL THAT I HAVE what is a good choice cam? Something that is big, but isn't mush on bottom end... MS3, TRex, Vindicator, Torquer V.3? Any suggestions? I was wondering if anyone had a similar setup PLUS a cam on stock heads and if they had some dyno information...

To preserve tranny life of your automatic transmission, you don't want to rev it to the moon. The MS3 runs best at high revs. Great for a 6 speed, bad for a stock 4L60E. RPM kills trannies. You also want to keep your dynamic compression fairly high to keep your mid-range punch robust. I like to recommend for stock autos, keeping the intake valve closing point around 42 degrees ABDC at .050". For a true daily driver, don't go over 6 degrees of overlap at .050". For a street-strip car with a good tuner, you can go higher in overlap. Best cam will depend further on your style of driving, whether you run cats, and whether you plan on spraying nitrous in the future.

Well the way I drive depends on who I'm beside!!! lol... And I NEVER want to use nitrous and no cats... Anything else you would need to know to help out? Is the Torquer V.3 a good choice since it's supposed to have better low end? And it's average horse gain is around 50-55 rwhp isn't it? Plus I think I already have the right stall for it... Ugh, I dunno...

I have the TV3 and picked up 72rwhp with a UDP after install. I love the cam it feels great, I do run high flow cats but may take them off. I would listen to what ever Pat says.

Holy cow! ABQ99TA that's on stock heads and practically the same setup I have... 72 rwhp?!?! That's awesome... How is it on bottom and mid range? And what size stall did you go with?

I suggest you take a look at VE's before you make a selection...
Torquer V.3 231/234 .643/.598 111+4: 10.5* overlap, 42.5* IVC
While it would work, this cam has more than the target DD overlap, and needs a lot of advance to work well with your automatic. Let's try something smaller. I know, I know...
228/228 111+3: 6* overlap, 42* IVC
226/226 110+1: 6* overlap, 42* IVC
224/228 110+0: 6* overlap, 42* IVC
If that last one looks familiar, it's Patrick G's cam from the Torque coming out of my EARS! (cam change)
