I love my centerforce! If your car wont accelerate past 6000rpms you have some other problem.
I have the 12" DF Centerforce. It has about 25,000 miles on it. It is my daily driver and sees plenty of stop and go traffic, long drives, occassional track visits. When I run at the track I shift at 6900rpms and dont have a single problem. It hasnt missed a beat.

^^ Good to hear you are at 25k miles with it, I was wondering how long these would last. 99.99% of the time the high rpm shifting problems with these clutches will be fixed with a adjustable master or by shiming the slave.

I don't like it personally, My one friend killed his with a little over 400 rwhp and it was on the first day at the track. Less than 500 miles on it. I drove one at the track last week in my other friends car I didn't like the way it felt it did not behave like a good clutch imo. I would rather a better clutch for a little more money. I brought a text but haven't put it in yet, but I have driven one and I can tell you it is worth it because that clutch feels very smooth and it handles high rpms very well!

yep 25,000 miles easy and every 1/4 mile run was done slipping the **** out of the clutch to save the 10 bolt on the launch. I havent had to shim anything and I still have the stock master cylinder.

My car has 400rwhp and like I said I have over 25,000 miles on mine. Shifting at 6900 all day long without a problem. Mine feels almost identical to stock as far as pedal pressure and release. I love it.

your buddy either 1) has the old 11" version of the clutch or 2) doesnt know how to install a clutch and messed something up.
