Default New Set Up For STS

Over the winter changed my setup from the hooker headers, off road y pipe and magnaflow i pipe to stock manifolds, 2 1/2" bassani y pipe and 2 1/2" i pipe with 3 bolt flanges at the joints.

Turbo spools up sooo fast just from changing it..

Then didnt like the way sts had their intake piping routed. So made it go over the radiator. (didnt put my radiator shroud on yet i bent up some metal for it)

verrryy nice! i plan on doing the same things you did to your exhaust as well.. i'll be gettin rid of the JetHot LT's for some coated stockers, as well as installing a bassani ORY. Glad the results were good, as i am hoping for the same! i'm just waiting for my new 9" to come in before i start messing with the exhaust...

care to take any pics of the bassani installed?

edit, nevermind all the other pics just loaded, lol! looks good!!

A lot of STS guys are going that with the piping as I did when I installed my FMIC. The only trouble I had was doing the hard 90 out of the IC to the intake but I finally fabbed the correct bends and welded her up!

Looks good man!

I'm still running CAts with a wrapped SLP y pipe to a 3" I pipe. How much better is the 2.5" pipe?

Talking

Thanks for the compliments everyone

Had to get rid of that pipe that sts had in front on the pwr str pump I hated that.

For the I pipe i took my 3 inch I pipe to a muffler shop and told them to make a 2.5 inch one exactly like the 3 inch one I had and a little bit longer at each end so I could cut it perfect and the flanges com in handy because to day I blew a gasket at the manifold collector so it just comes right out and if anything happen to the tranny its an easy access....

Spool time has dropped and now full spool is around 3000 rpm the car is jus nuts but now its to loud and I don't like it so I'm gona put a bullet muffler on it now.

so are you saying that stock manifolds with a 2.5" ory and 2.5" i-pipe is louder than full longtubes, 3" ory, and 3" i-pipe?
