8 rib belt is getting eating up how to fix/ where to buy belts online
put a F1C on my car running a 8 rib belt. looks like the the belt is running little
off center which is wearing it out. so i put washer in front of the head unit to push it back on the mount little more the a 1/16. looks like it helped. but belt is still wearing on the back side of head unit pulley.
Can i add 1/8 washers behind the crank pulley to move it little to the front which should line every thing up?
Where to buy belts online.
With a 7 inch crank pulley and a 4.75 head unit pulley what the impeller speed at 6200 rpms? only made 6 lbs at 6200 thinking i should be a little higher with f1C blower

Can you tell us a little more about your setup? Are you using the SDCE system, or the Procharger? If you are only getting 6psi with those pulleys, I would assume its belt slip.
I am using a F1C as well, and I ended up this ordering this tool to help me with the alignment. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it seems promising. http://www.toolsource.com/lazer-driv...urceid=bizrate

Im just using the procharger system that came with kit. what pulleys are you using and what psi you getting. Cause im running stock 6 liter and thats what i though should be over 6 psi with even the 7 and 4.75 pulleys. how are you changing the alignment

My new setup isn't quite finished yet, but the crank pulley is 7.4" and the blower pulley is 4". I was told it should be around 20psi if the belt doesnt slip.
We will be using that laser alignment tool to see how the pulleys are ligning up, then just use washers to shim the main bracket forward/backward as needed.

Does the pulley alignment look correct? I have had to remove the 1/8" shim from behind the pulley on the last 2 kits i installed. The belt not only slips, but it tears the side apart.
Like jimmy said, a laser is the correct way to align the pulleys.

the gates green label belts are lifetime, but I havent had any problems tearing them up, you should maybe consider the SDCE setup, its pretty sweet. no matter how tight I went with my D1 I could not stop belt slip, I even tried a reichard racing ultra grip pulley, just tore belts up faster. I switched to the SDCE and ive had 0 problems since

yes the alignment looks off on the procharger belt. looks like if i add 1/8 washer between the the fluid damper and the crank pulley. then it will be good, SO That should be ok to do?
yes it was wearing the side of the belt. but this is because its a little off.
But thinking im getting belt slip because im only getting 7 psi of boost from a F1C

Replace the 3 with 5.4. With my pulley setup and a shift point of around 6,500rpms the impellar speed would be 63,619.

Well guys tighten the belt up. LS2 engine stock with header and exhaust. running a F1C with 7 inch crank 4.75 head unit pulley. boost starts around 2k rpms with 1-2 psi and jumps to 5 psi fast and holds there for little, ends with 8-8.5 psi at 6300rpms. dont think the belts slipping now. Only time will tell how the stock ls2 does with the F1C

Ok i though so too. Thinking about buy pvc pipe ends Adding air fittings. one blocking off where it goes into intake. sec one on inlet of charger unit so i can pressurize the intake tract to look for a leaks. Will tighten the belt a little more. Buying new pressure gauge just in case.
Will take me a few days to get back on this.
