Has anyone used these? What do you think the max spacing you would use? I know some people are completely against these but I don't care.

There's nothing wrong with using quality wheel spacers. I recently purchased a set of Billet 1 1/4" adapters that look just like the ones you posted, I didn't get them on ebay though, and the cost was quite a bit more, $59.00 is a heck of a deal.
It seems that most guys go with 1" spacer, I put the 1 1/4" on with my 245 16" tires and it looks much better, I'm slammed also and they don't rub unless I hit a deep rut. 1 1/2" may put the tire outside the fenderwell or at least flush, if your not lowered it would probably work IMO.
Good luck!

I have a set from the same company that I have no use for that I'll sell you for half the price shipped. Pm me if you are interested. They the 1" adapter/spacers. I used them on my car for 6 months before I bought drag rims and went to long studs. Here is a pic on my car with the 1" spacers and stock 16's with 255's on them.
1 " puts the stock wheels as just the right spot on a Camaro. Firebirds are a lil' bit wider so 1 1/4 would give the same stance as this on those cars.
