Default LS? 408 for my 95 Z28

I want to put built LS (600hp NA) in place of the LT1 in my 95 Z28.

For the conversion, would I be better off getting a complete donor LS engine & transmission with all the trim
OR
Starting from the ground up and buying the parts separately?

It depends on how much of that stock motor you will use with a pull out. You will get dimed and nickeled to death on the accessories though if you go from scratch. You will also need an LS1 engine cradle.

Yeah that is what I have been reading on threads I have searched related to the subject. There are lots of LT1 to LS1 threads but only a couple on subject with any detail. I will just keep digging and see what I am in for. I don't need to have the conversion done until next summer so I got a little time.
