Default Utterly confused!!!!!

Can I get a participation of those of you running high compression ratio's? What is your compression ratio and are you running a domed piston?
I have all my parts in front of me and was sure about the combo and ratio etc. now that I am discussing it with builders I am getting shunned. I initially thought that it was because they were not well versed with the LT1 design, but now I am second guessing my decision.
I ended up with a final compression ratio of 12.8:1 with a domed piston on a 68 cc head. I can get that down some by switching gaskets and decking the block all the while keeping the quench in check. As is quench is .050.
Where the difference comes in is that some are saying you can't run a domed piston with an LT manifold, and others saying that is too high for pump gas. My understanding is that I am one full cr point from the threshold of detonation and since the heads are aftermarket and have the larger combustion chamber then the dome was ok. It is an 11cc dome btw.
Thanks for any and all input
