Look for the 243 heads and you will have to ditch the DBW stuff to use your harness/PCM. It would be an easy swap and if I were you I'd use your existing valley cover with the knock sensors and your ls6 intake TB.....

I could be wrong, but I thought you had to use the ls2 pcm because the CKP reluctor on the crank was different.

You can try, but I bet you won't find a 58 tooth GTO motor. That was a internet myth that I have yet to prove true. The problem is that the E40 ecm in the GTO does not work with the 58 tooth motors. All GTO's have the E40, not the E38 or E67 that you would need for a 58 tooth motor.

Correct, all GTO LS2's, both 05 and 06, are 24 tooth.
58 tooth engines started with the '06 Vette, and that is it in '06. After that, they pretty much all started converting over to 58 tooth in '07, and the GTO wasn't around anymore.

NO, all ls2 gto's have a 24x reluctor and a E40 ECM.
