DUI with accident....
anyone knows what or how much jail time it carries...my coworker decided to drive drunk this weekend and now this is what he's facing....
oh that and the leaving the scene charge......
the penal code isnt really clear when it comes to "DUI single car accident" w/o injury....

from experience I got a DUI hit a parked car... then got in a fight with him and ran... cops later found me.... Was a stupid mistake regret every bit of it... but I got my truck impounded of course.... then i decided to get a lawyer who helped me get the hit and run dropped and just a seperate driving accident not involved with the dui... I got my liscecne suspended for a year 3 years probation... 1800 in fines.. no including the lawyer.... 9 days community service. but this also happened when i was a few months shy of 21....but with a regular DUI i think its a waste of time to get a lawyer... but when there is somethign else involved like an acident then i think its best to get one they can save your ***. but i think you may be able to avoid jail tiem all together if you get a lawyer.. but yea better description of accident... and BAC.

sorry to go off topic but this subject kinda gets me (i was hit by a drunk and almost killed), but those lawyers are the lowest scum type of lawyer.
he deserves lots of jail time. taking away his license wont help, the guy that hit me was driving on a suspended license (for guess what).

another one for my ignore list. you are a fool. be careful to pass judgement so quickly/carelessly. nobody needs to hear some simpletons comment. obviously drinking and driving is really really dumb.

hopefully it's his first offense. he'll talk to a lawyer and find out what hes looking at no matter what. if he decides to hire a lawyer i suggest he chooses wisely. if he has a lawyer in the family or is friends with one nows probably the time to ask for a favor. definitely the wrong place (site) to post this up on though. tell him to talk to a lawyer as soon as possible. theres a lot of different kinds/types of lawyers out there.

i dont think hell be in too much trouble, fine, aa classes blah blah. there are soo many people who have 2-3 or more dui charges and theyre still getting slaps on the wrist. course what mood his judge is in will play a big part.
