Default What should I keep / what will I need?

I want to run a 5.3 flex fuel engine and 4L60E transmission in my 1977 Chevrolet K5 Blazer. I figure I'm gonna need a complete wiring harness out of a donor truck cause I haven't found what I'm looking for from any aftermarket source. Anyway I want to keep all the wiring for the drivetrain, but elimanate some of the interior electrical cause theres nothing to hook up. Another issue is the hooking up the VSS. Obviously the stock axles won't have any VSS, but is there a way to add them?

You don't really need the complete wiring harness, just the engine harness and the underhood fuse/relay center. Someone like Speartech should be able to rework that into a standalone harness for you (probably don't need the fuse/relay center if you go with speartech--call them).

The VSS is in the transmission or transfer case, not the axles. The axles have sensors for the ABS.
