i think its just the truck code for that block and ls2 is the aluminum code for the 6.0

there should be a sticky in the internal section for the ls2's

lq9 has a higher compression ratio. 10 to 1
lq4 has the lower c/r 9.4 to 1

my heads are 317 castings. that is the 71cc chambers. i guess that would make it a lq4. is there any differences in the blocks?

some lq9 had 317 heads. they both have the same 71cc heads. the pistons are what is different for c/r.
