I've personally never had much luck with the Nittos but on my MT drag radials I leave about 3200 rpms on the trans brake and its cutting 1.4x's 60' on the engine alone .

I use to launch at around 3,200-3,500 but the car would just bog but, now I launch between 4,000-4,500 on my MT 315/35/17s at 20psi and dead hook and go. I have a 9" though so be careful if you still have the stock rear. As long as your clutch and rearend hold up you should be fine.
