Default got a lq9 today. need advice.

ok i am new to the lsx scene. and i picked up a stock short block today and i want to stick it in my s10. i want it to be around 550-700hp n/a. and i want to know if that stock bottom end will hold? or if i could just change the pistons. also what are some good heads and cams. and i would really like to keep it carbed since the s10 already has a really good fuel system. well thanks for your time!

well to get anywhere close to your numbers you will need to take it to at least a 408- means complete rebuild- AFR, or TFS heads and a nasty cam and you will be around 525-550 rwhp thru a 6spd.

you are not going to hit 700 without a power adder.
