Default head opinion needed...

Yeah I know... another head question.. I just want opinions.

EDIT: The link shows the Stage III's for the 4.125 bore, but I'm looking at the Stage II's for the 3.905 bore. Patriot Site

Anyway.. I was thinking of getting a set of these.. the flow is only off a couple CFM vs the TF heads.. Me thinky these are a great deal.. LQ9's from Patriot.. Vendor Link. The Stage II's are what would fit mine.. the Stage III's would be nice but I don't have a 4.125 bore..

I've got my re enlistment bonus coming in next month or so.. I want to cam the car before I deploy, but I just can't leave well enough alone to NOT do the heads with it... but we'll see.. If I don't do it now, I'll do it when I get the cash after deployment (Be warned ... Something EVIL this way comes!! ) sorry for the cliche but it's true..

I would go with the ls6 "style" with a 59cc or 64cc chamber. The 72cc of the LQ9's will lower your CR.

I'd like a little more flow... Thinking the Patriot LS6 stage III's also... I want the 64 CC's... I'll be doing a S/C too.. Eventually... that's why the 72 CC chanmer attracted me, but I would like some GOOD performing heads until then.. I don't think the S/C will be any time soon, though. Maybe a year+..

I've been WANTING the TF heads, but I don't want to pay what most vendors want.

^ Hmmm... I was reading up on a stock rocker and TFS and it basically will run around $3000 to run the TFS heads... I can get HS RR's thru Jegs for about $380... not bad, but still pricey.. I dunno.. I may just 'settle' for a set of AFR 225cc/65cc Mongoose... settle... lol...

Oh, just out of curiosity, the AFR's advertise their springs to be good for under .600 lift.. I'll be running .639 lift, I can change springs that's not the problem.. but this higher lift won't have any ill effects on performance even though these heads are flow monsters, right? I think I've settled on the Patriot gold dual springs..
Sorry if that's a stupid Q, I'm a bit buzzed...

I am seriously considering TSP Terminator heads. They are aftermarket casting (thick deck) with a small intake runner and flow close to AFR for about $400 less. That $400 is a good set of rockers right there. A couple guys made close to 500rwhp on here. Search Termin8r. RPM in Garner (Raleigh) did a Terminator car that put down 480's IIRC.

^ Hmm..... small CC runners.... Smaller means more port velocity, right??

I'm thinking of just getting a set of AFR heads...
