Spray Painting Wheels???

Spray Painting Wheels??? Ok so i am planning on painting my wheels black this weekend with a red lip. So my question is how should i prep them to get the paint to stick since they are chrome. Should i wet sand them with a light grit sand paper?? Thanks

you would have to really scuff the wheel up with sand paper to get it to stick, and i dont think your average spray paint will stick/last. you will need paint for metal.

A while back I had spray painted my wheels a graphite color and they turned out horrible. Not because of the paint but because of how uneven I had applied the paint. Recently I had the wheels powder coated and they look a million times better and at a reasonable price, $270. I'd say powder coat them and be done with it.
