Re: can you use the 2002 Steel Head Gasket on 2000 Block? they don't seal as well, because, the older gaskets, always, have a little crap left on the block, they are best used, after a machined head and block surface.. but will go on..

Re: can you use the 2002 Steel Head Gasket on 2000 Block? i have some Stg II heads... running Cometic Head Gaskets now, but I might have to pull the heads to see if a lifter went bad. Any way to tell if I can use the GM Steel gaskets or not? Im not sure about the notch or where its at.
The cometics went on the engine with fresh machine job on heads and block. shouldnt be any problems i hop
