There's a big difference in flash stall betwen those two....The 3600 will be right at 3600..The 3500 PI should be over 4K stall. Unless you know the person on that used stall you might not take a chance (although friends have bought several used PI and Yanks stalls and have never had a problem). It's the same reason I will probably just restall my SS3600 (to tight for my cam). I have like 500 miles and 5 passes on mine so damn near perfect and yet people think $450 is too much. They want a $350-400 used Yank converter with tons of miles I guess....So, make sure if you buy that used one, you research the person or know them personnaly (so you don't get someones garbage) and find out the history of the verter!!!! If you want to see a video of a SS3600, I have one of my car at the last and only race my car made it too last season

Not bad on full street trim with heavy 17's all around + a roll bar...Still, I need more launch rpm to get into the power band sooner off the line...

Then I would say the SS3600 or the PI 3200 (real flash, more like 3600-3800 or your application). They will both work great on a mild set up and have great drive abilty. The Yank SS3600 will be tighter for daily driving...I know, I've had both those on my car (the PI took a crap and I had to have the whole tranny gone through again) and I just could not bring myself to buy another PI for a while after that....."They are a great converter though and sometimes you just have bad luck." I would always recommend those two top choices....I'll be moving up to SS4000 with either a re-stall or just sell mine outright. We are probably going to have the PI fixed and make it a 3 disk lock up set up for another race only car...

I vote 3600, the Vig seems a little much for a bolton car IMO. I like my SS3600 alot.

That PI3500 might not flash any higher than your set up with full weight and a PI3200 (although in reality it will still probably flash higher)....I'm assuming his has big weight reduction to do that...I thought by your two converter selections that you were looking for a DD converter (full weight car), and now it sounds like you really want a more strip than street converter. A SS4000 Yank is more comparable to that PI3500.

Bastard..........My race weight is actually over 3800lbs...I estimated 3725ish race weight and man was I off. My car alone on a scale is near 3600lbs It was so heavy that I really did not believe the local scale and went to pay at a calibrated scale...same damn weight.... Roll bar...heavy sub frame connectors, 12 bolt and other safety stuff has taken their toll...On a good note though, the car never breaks at the track (unless it's the opti X2)...

I had a Yank 3600 in my car and it was completely dd able, but also pulled like a raped ape when it flashed. due to trying to sell the car though I have put a stock verter back in it and let me say compared to the Yank it plane sucks. I have never used a Vig but am totally pleased with the Yank. If your close to me in Texas mine is for sale too.

VIG and YANK are very good

If its got really 1000 miles on it, then it should be fine

Imo, the Yank SS3600 is the perfect bolt on converter. My 1.77 60' is on a 3900# car with a 235-60 comp t/a dr.

cool i was going through the same thing you were like 2 weeks ago. debating between a new yank or a new vig. i finally decided on vig 3200 after talking to jack @ PI. should work good with the spray. tell us how you like that yank 3600 when you get it installed.

Quick Reply: UsedYank SS3600 for $425 or band new 3500 Vig for $700?
